Why December 23rd is the worst day ever
365 days ago, I was suddenly and unexpectedly dumped after a miserable 4 months away from home and country.
730 days ago, I was awkwardly rejected by someone who we (this meaning everyone who was in the know with regards to our situation) all thought would never in a million years.
Beyond that, I’m sure more bad stuff has gone down.
Will the third time be the charm? I really hope not....

Travel times as illustrated by math
14 hours of awakeness + 1 hour cab ride + 2 hours of airport kill time = 17 hours awake prior to flight 1.
Flight 1 = 2 hours of semi-consciousness.
17 hours - 2 hours + 1 hour of runway tour at CDG in Paris + 1 hour of sitting on a plane that’s “being fixed” and potentially spouting smoke from an engine…still at 17 hours.
Flight 2 = 10 hours - 5 hours of...
